Overview of Double Roller Granulator

The double roller extrusion granulator is dry granulation equipment that can quickly extrude and separate materials at room temperature and process them into oblate particles. Compared with other granulation equipment, no drying measures are required, which simplifies the granulation process. The return rate is very low, no need to add adhesives.

The double-roller extrusion granulator is widely used in the processing of fertilizer, NPK, urea, graphite, cat litter and other granules, with low investment and high production efficiency. Combined with other related equipment, it can form an automatic compound organic fertilizer granule production line.

Working Process of Double Roller Granulator 

The working process of a disc granulator is a continuous, dynamic physical pelletizing process, which can be divided into the following stages:

Step 1: Feeding and Initial Compression
The material enters through the conical feed inlet at the top of the machine.

Under the squeezing action of two opposing rollers, air between the material molecules is rapidly expelled.

Step 2: Forming into Discs
Under immense mechanical pressure, the material is compressed into dense, high-hardness "disc"-shaped sheets by intermolecular forces.

Step 3: Crushing and Separation
The formed discs fall naturally to the serrated dispersion device at the bottom.

The dispersion device crushes the large discs into smaller, irregular particles.

Step 4: Screening and Discharge
The dispersed particle mixture enters the screening device (screen optional).

Particles of the correct size pass through the screen and flow out from the discharge outlet at the bottom, becoming the final product.

Particles that are too large are blocked by the screen and are usually sent back to the crushing unit or the feed end for further processing.
